Voting is open until midnight 11/22 EST. Shortly thereafter Mike Giarlo will post response data to this list. Let your voices be heard! Code4lib 2008 Call for ProposalsWe are now accepting proposals for prepared talks for Code4lib 2008. Code4lib 2008 is a loosely structured conference for library technologists to commune, gather/create/share ideas and software, be inspired, and forge collaborations. It is also an outgrowth of the Access HackFest, wrapped into a conference-like format. It is *the* event for technologists building digital libraries and digital information systems, tools, and software. Code4Lib 2008 ScheduleVideo and presentation files are linked to each talk. In addition to Google Video, video is being hosted in high def format at the Internet Archive. Code4Lib 2008 ScheduleMonday, February 25

Polling for interest in a European code4libFollowing up on discussion over on #code4lib and the code4libcon Google group, I've set up a short survey. The survey polls respondents to see what interest there is in a European event, and to assess whether such an event should be as well as or instead of a North American code4libcon. Please register your views, and raise awareness of this survey ahead of the closing date, 15 February. As noted in the survey itself, neither the code4lib community nor Talis are bound to hold an event at a time or in a place solely on the basis of this survey. The results are freely available, during and after the survey. By PaulMiller at 2007-02-06 14:52 | code4lib 2007 | code4lib 2008 | conferences | read more | PaulMiller's blog | 1 comment
